Elevator car frame is the main load carrying structure, supports the weight of the various components, also withstands all kinds of workloads during elevator operation. Elevator car frame can play a decisive role in ensuring the smooth running, ride comfort, service life and reliability. Large tonnage elevator has been more and more widely used. In order to avoid safety accidents, improve the use efficiency, achieve the standardization, optimization design is more important on the car frame of large tonnage elevator. In this paper for rating load 4 ton elevator car frame as a example, design the overall structure and components including the stress analysis of composite, make bending stress of the chosen material meet the demand for the maximal allowable stress, establish 3D optimized model to conduct finite element analysis on car frame upper beam assembly, provide a basis for the safe, reasonable and economy car frame structure design.
